The town of "Lucky Star"''s win-win fund raise with fans

Washimiya, Saitama known as the modeled location in anime "Lucky Star" and its town revitalization projects using the anime releases gift cards to raise funds for the earthquake relief.
The gift cards are specially designed by Kagami Yoshimizu, the manga writer of "Lucky Star".
All sales from the gift cards goes to Tohoku area including Shichigahama-machi, Miyagi, where is also famous for its town renewal projects using anime "Kannagi" to support their rehabilitation.

The gift cards costs 1,000yen each and 2,000 of them will be released on 7/7.

The gift cards can be used at the shops in Washimiya town.
However, it is assumed that the fans will hardly use the gift cards for shopping, because the cards are specially designed for this project and are very valuable for the core fans.
For that case, the gift cards' sales will purely be fans' donation.
And if the gift cards are used, that means the town pays for the donation.
Therefore, in this great project, the fans will pay for the special limited item and the town can send more money than it could by itself.
